Turmeric Drip - APOG 2025 Wildwood Set

For the last few years, I kept hearing about APOG, but every year I wasn’t able to go. This year, the timing was perfect, and found out my guy was the lead for the sound at Wildwood. My set was Saturday at 3 am with full support from Caravan and Silk Road Crew.
This was my first time playing under the alias Turmeric Drip and the first time playing a festival. Big shoutout to the entire APOG team and volunteers for all their hard work. I was extremely impressed at how well thought out everything was and all the attention to detail.
I normally don’t get emotional for sets, but this was one was different. I was very intentional about that songs and tried to create an international journey of the music thats always running through my mind at any time. There were highs, there were lows, there were African drums, Brazilian vocals, and Indian classics. Rather than keeping one energy, I danced around different tempos and vibes, the same way my mind thinks.
After the set I had a few people come up to me saying that my set was their favorite of the weekend or this set is exactly what I needed at this moment. It was rewarding to get that feedback and for people to understand what I was intending to do with my set.
APOG 2025… what a time. I do things only twice. I’ll be back next year FOR SURE with more spice.

Monkey Loft (Caravan Takeover)

As someone who has been to Monkey Loft at least 100 times, playing my own set has been at the top of my mind for at least 3-4 years, and it finally happened on 8/14/24.
Big ups to the Silk Road crew for having me for their Caravan takeover of the loft stage.
This is one of my favorite sets because it reminds me of that night.
So many of my friends were in the crowd dancing. I met a bunch of new people who showed me a lot of love; even the door girl was like, "We need more of this sound here."
For the set, it’s a little tour of my favorite South American genres, starting with Latin Tech House, Brazilian House, and Latin House and finishing with some Favela Trap.

Welcome to the Jungle

You know what you don’t hear very often when you go out in Seattle… Tribal House. Yes, there are so many subgenres within subgenres, and you might be asking what is Tribal House.
This mix is packed with some FUEGO Tribal House cuts with rhythmic steel drums, amipiano melodies, and heavy drops.
The ideal way to listen to this mix: you have had 2-3 mojitos, you are either on a rooftop or on a beach, and you are ready to dance.

QUARANTINE No. 3

I have been sitting on this mix forever. I got a little too perfectionist with this mix and kept making slight adjustments to it.
This mix is all hip hop house edits. I love hip hop, I love house music, and I love sharing new music with people. You will find a lot of classic songs in this mix that are flipped over some tech-house beats. This is probably my most popular mix in a long time.

QUARANTINE No. 2

I don't even know what week of Quarantine it is anymore. I have been dj'ing/live streaming/messing around a lot during this time. It is great to get a break from everything and get back into what makes me the happiest, MUSIC.
This mix is a tribute to the ‘Alte' sound that I love. This is an emerging genre coming out of West Africa and is slowly spreading throughout the world. Most people consider West African music to be afro-pop or afro-beat, and the majority of it is. However, alternative West African music aka 'Alte' is that new new.
